When Lorbey (@placeholder4abn) declared June Egbert Real on August 25th, 2019, and, none of us could have imagined the impact it would have on the Homestuck fandom. Hussie’s reply- “you were the first to find my treasure, and so it will be done”- effectively canonized her, and has sparked a resurgence of the fandom and a flood of June Egbert art, fic, and meta theory. This zine celebrates June Egbert. It features artists and writers, many of whom spearheaded the effort to bring June into the spotlight. We hope JuneZine inspires you to do the same. Thank you all for this! I read Homestuck up until late 2010 or early 2011. (After Hivebent but some point before the dancestors and alphas were introduced.) It was only last year when I heard about June and her canonization that I decided to go back and finish it, since having realized I was a trans woman myself just a few years prior to that.
Here's to her inevitable official appearance! (And oh gosh do I hope she kisses another girl)
